Sound Woven in Wool: The Björk Project
When one of Iceland's most iconic artists required a textile installation that was as much an auditory experience as a visual one, they turned to Varma. Our master weavers engineered intricate musical notation into a monumental, large-scale wool installation in deep burgundy and black Icelandic wool — displayed in a gallery setting with surround sound.
The Album Art Edition: Kaleo
The internationally acclaimed Icelandic rock band Kaleo needed premium merchandise that reflected the raw, powerful aesthetic of their album art. We engineered a heavy Icelandic wool blanket featuring their iconic handprint motif using a specialized jacquard technique — stark white on deep black, woven to last a lifetime.
