VARMA has been a leader in the development and production of knitted wool products in Iceland since the company was founded in Akureyri in 1982.

Today, we are located in the middle of Reykjavík, but it is almost unheard of today that such an industry operates in this part of the world. You could say we are almost as uncommon as the Icelandic "geirfugl" - and we're proud of it!". Our main raw material, Icelandic wool, is processed and produced from it in its country of origin. We believe in this kind of value creation. We create jobs in Iceland, enhance human life and most importantly, we respect nature. For a long time, wool was one of Icelanders' main export products, and it is a great honor for us to protect history, this unique raw material and Icelandic production.
